"Toy" Lenses

The lofi thread reminded me of these

Some time ago I got a set of Lomography plastic lenses.

In certain shots they fit in quite well, sometimes with a "retro" colour setting on the camera.


The standard lens (50mm equ)



The wide angle (24mm equ)



The 160deg fisheye




and a Holga pinhole I use for checking for sensor dust




Not the best light for any of them, the sun is just off to the right.

I don't have anything like that but I do have a Minolta Rokkor 35mm f2.8 the coating of which were ruined by a repairer. It gives a similar dreamy look. I keep meaning to take it out for a day

I think that's where canon 50mm stm belongs somehow for its size, build quality, slow and inaccurate af motor and performance wide open. But it's mega sharp from 5.6 onwards so not quite paperweight trash
