in fact Mont Ventoux is classed as the most difficult climb that is in some tour years.

It looks like the Tourmalet has answered some questions and raised others, looks like Yates, Quintana and Porte are out of the running for G.C . Alaphilippe is still in yellow 
. I wonder if it is because he is taking each stage one at a time and every day is a bonus, where as the G.C favourites are planning the Tour as a 20 day race and were hoping to move into yellow on the certain day as on their computer spreadsheet.
