Yes
I've found a canon 24-70f2.8 for sale. The lens isn't working as one of the elements has come loose inside the lens. They guy only wants £20 for it with box, hood, case... Everything. What's people's thoughts ? I'm thinking why hasn't he had it repaired. He said he just doesn't use or need it anymore.

Says their is no damage at all just the loose glass inside the lens. I'm new to photography so not sure. Any thoughts ?

Thanks, Adam

At £20 it's not too much to loose, yes probably too good to be true but if it's legitimate you could either send it off or at that money repair it yourself as a small project

Obviously make if it's a meet up be sure you take someone with you and it's public, you know the usual stuff

No idea what it would cost to fix so a quick call to a camera repair company might tell you what you'd finally be into it for. With regard to the seller, I always find a quick chat on the phone tells me if the person is genuine or not. If they don't like the idea of talking over the phone, that tells me all I need to know, too.

Could be a loose canon;)

At £20. its a bargain, the hood and case has got to be worth that alone.

I said I would like to arrange to view it and possibly buy it and he replied saying it has sold! Thanks for all your replies guys. If I come across anything like that again I'll just go for it

Probably best as at £20 it wasn't going to last long, the worst bit is that as he's come back to say it's sold rather than "yeah let's meet up and bring a full wallet" is that it probably was real :(
