Anyone else had it?

Just got it for the third time and this is the first time since thursday afternoon that I have been out of bed for more than ten minutes. The delerium, aches and sickness have gone but throat is still majorly infected :'( Have spent the last two months being so focused on college work, sending out CV's, making contacts and this has buggered it all up. Missed a protest march in edinburgh on saturday that i really wanted to photograph :bang:

As you can see this is a just a "feeling sorry for myself" thread so anybody feel free to join in and wallow with me :D
 
hope you get well soon. My teenage years were riddled with tonsilitus, it really does suck. i haven't had it for over 10 years.
 
Thanks Allan, that must have been a nightmare at that age. Its something I never suffered from then a few years back went on holiday and came back with it, seems to pop up every year now!
 
Not Tonsilitis but feel rougher than a badgers bottom today so will join you ni the wallowing in self pity :)

Throat started closing yesterday afternoon, went mental over night with no sleep and hot and cold shivers, feeling exceptionally week and had to suffer through a day in the office as noone else around to authorise and stack deals!

If I feel like this in the morning or I don't sleep tonight might just be off tomorrow lol.

Ouch that sounds terrible! Actually when I went to the docs she did say that they were full to the brim with people with the same symptoms. Hopefully you'll feel better soon. The only positive thing is that i have managed to download and watch loads of 80's classic movies :D
 
One of theguys helped me get the TV back home (long story) so cathing up with the last episode of CSI trilogy then bed fro me, can't believe I'll be in bed by 7:30 lol
 
Never had it, but do suffer from major throat infections when ever i get acold, so does that count?
 
Get better soon :thumbs: I had it for 18 weeks as a child, throat was bleeding like mad. Strangely enough they did not take them out, when it was all the rage :shrug:
 
I will wallow with you, had tooth ache for three days now, seems to move from all over upper and lower back teeth, to left lower, then right upper and today bottom lower :( no dentist for me though till Thursday as I bought a new laptop Monday grrrr.
Oh and to top it off eldest daughter in pain with wisdom tooth --- I hurt to much to give sympathy lol

The E.N.T. surgeon said he could fix that.

Trimmed the pallet
Cut a bit more of the clack off
Lazered the roof of my mouth.




Guys...........GET A BL##DY DIVORCE............Like tonsilitis x30:eek:

The lazering wears off with time though and I'm zzzzzzzz just the same :shrug:
 
Can I join in and wallow with you too? I've had a stinking cold and sore throat for well over a week now, and a deep man's voice for the majority of that time :lol: I can't sleep as I either can't breathe or have a tickly cough - and to top it all, I'm on call 24/7 until Friday :(
