I had an hour to kill between meetings in Leeds today so went to the Leeds art gallery. Apparently I was in the wrong place for any photography exhibitions and I was told I should head to the White Cloth gallery. I made the short walk over there and I am so glad I did. Such evocative wartime/documentary photography from Tom Stoddart was on display. Set in 2 rooms - I had it all to myself too- it was such a getaway from my meetings and the day to day life. Which was a bit weird really as each if the images on display were far from easy on the eye and portrayed hardship, grief, famine war etc etc but they drew me in and made me thankful for my 9-5 life and those I hold dear. Definitely recommend it if you get the chance.
