When I was at school toe bungers where frowned upon.. its what the kids who couldnt play football did..

Brasil do it and win the opener of the world cup and its skill....

They were a 'tad' fortunate last night.
 
Strange cos on first viewing I swore Neymar scuffed his shot and Oscar toe poked his and on 2nd viewing I was right :)

Lucky, maybe. It defo wasnt a penalty but could understand why the ref gave it but lets not forget no Croatian scored a goal last night and frankly never looked like they would.

You could also argue that Neymar could have been sent off before he scored the equaliser, and if that was the case, you never know what the outcome of the game would have been. Agreed though, Croatia didnt really offer much apart from a few spirited runs from Olic down the left.
 
Toe Bunger :) I've not heard that expression for years.

There's certainly a time and place for a good old toe poke - it's often the most effective (or least risky) means of finishing especially in crowded situations or close to goal.

We just call it a 'David Narey' up here.

I'm sure you realise that was in the days when footballers were footballers, not millionnaire actors/models/perfumers/travel bloggers/tv pundits :D
