Trainers and suits are a big no no, been getting a lot of stick from work for wearing this combo but its something ive always done and never thought twice about it. I always thought id look fly if they matched but maybe because im growing up a bit ive realised i look like a right wally :'( :(

I just wish id of known this before i got married 18 months ago, i thought i looked cool and my bride didnt say anything but now i know i looked like the accused in a rental :( :'(

Does anyone else wear trainers with a suit? if so its time to stop now fella, its not cool at all :nono:

You shouldve asked us 19 months ago, Lee............we would've told you they dont look cool!! :D

Now that I think about it, and with two divorces behind me, wearing running shoes to your wedding might not be such a bad idea after all.

I switched to my trainers halfway through the wedding reception last year, but i also took off my jacket and tie so it was trousers, shirt and trainers.

That was more for comfort than fashion though.

Totally uncool Lee, but never mind mate, just Photoshop a nice pair of shiny black shoes in and you've cracked it.

Is your missus having a bad hair day there? :D

Yeh, I've accidentally worn trainsers with a shirt and black trousers to work. It would be the day I had 2 site visits to do as well. The clients were quick to point out my fashion sense :|

That is so wrong in every way..

I only ever wear trainers to the gym!

I sometimes where flat trainers with jeans, like these:

But trainers with a suit, OMG.

Now that is just wrong...
You have some balls to post that here lol
Nothing a visit from Trinny and Suzannah wouldnt put right ;)

im suprised your wife let you wear them!, i think mine would have walked the otherway if she saw me wearing trainers with a suit!, specialy on the wedding day,
its like wearing a Tie with a polo shirt! pmsl...

Trousers and trainers...... wouldn't dream of it!
You might have looked a little happier in the photo though ;-)

didn't your wife to be sort out what you were wearing? I know I would have!

Mine did, she'd have gone ballistic if i wore trainers. Not that i own any anyway.

I suppose it's a lot better than tracksuit with a nice new pair of black brogues or summat....

[quickly checks wardrobe --- can I wear this Marie?]

Everyone taking pictures kept shouting for me to smile - i was smiling :( :(

My wife is my wife, not my boss. Not all of us are under the thumb you know ;)

well men that wear trainers to a wedding need bossing..... :nono: We've got to look at you after all! ;)

Lee, It's just plain wrong fella....................... although looks better than the Scouse fashion faux pas of Shell Suit and Rockport boots.:gag:

(Apologies in advance to all those Scousers who haven't got a shell suit)

Thats a definate :nono:

Lee, if you'd met me at the altar wearing a suit & trainers you can bet your bottom dollar you'd have been met with a very different kind of dressing down!

Starting on the left of the group shot, I wonder exactly what the lime greenn mermaid was aiming for when she purchased that outfit? ...

Just why did the middle-aged woman in the orange lace pinch the lap dancers shoes & whats with the snow white boobs? ...

What had her friend been up to the night before to get those bruises on her knees?...

and why did mom wear a mixing bowl on her head!

Think Id better stop there!

I guess this really proves that 'theres nowt as queer as folk' and lets be honest, every wedding throws up a fashion faux pas or two ... just some have more than others!

The trainers are bad but not THAT bad!

Hope that makes you feel better lee? :)

That groom still has the label on his left sleeve, must be a designer suit. :D :D :D

 I missed that the first time - I was still reeling at the sight of the lime-green horror on the left.

But no - Trainers and Suits...:nono:

Get some nice black brogues and spend a while breaking them in. They'll last a lifetime if you take care of them. My pair have so far done about 20 years and been re-soled three times. And good brogues never go out of fashion.

I still cant decide if this thread is a p***take or not

Thats deffo me fella, Marcel knows me and the wife so he can tell you thats me

I thought i looked fly at the time, but now all i see is a poorly fitted suit, trainers and a naff tie - i still love that tie but it just doesnt look nice :(

Your post reminds me of Trigger describing his broom :D
