Well I've been learning a lot of stuff recently and just found out a cool way to straighten the horizon in photoshop.

This will be teaching some to suck eggs as I know it's nothing new but even if a few others who don't already know this technique then it will be worth while.

1. Open the slanty image,
2. Select the ruler tool (sub of eyedropper tool)
3. Draw a line across your slanty horizon (so your line is squint)
4. Select rotate canvas and choose Arbitrary (it fills in the required angle)
5. Crop to suit.
6. Hold the camera straighter in future

I take it then that it takes the ruler to the nearest 90 degrees? or 45 degrees etc.. I'll have to experiment with it :D

Ahh, thanks for that usefull tip. I might use that at some point!

You can also do a similar thing in Camera Raw but it will automatically crop the picture to the same ratio as the original based on as big an area as it can take.

I used to find starightening images a pain in the wotsit, and found this tip in a magazine, best £3.99 I ever spent!

That could be handy :)

He means that he knew what I posted already... not that he has another tip that he isn't sharing.. if that's what you are wondering? :D

I think.. And think that's what you think.. I'll keep out if it :D
