Hi,

My modest kit at the present includes the usual 18mm-55mm Canon IS lens and more recently a 55mm-250mm Canon IS lens.

I am looking at a Sigma 70mm - 300mm OS lens to part ex with the 250mm, but I really don't know whether it is worth my while taking a large hit on the price of the Canon for a little gain. I am looking to get a bit closer to the wildlife and will be looking at a little bit of motorsports.

Has anybody got any experience with these lens' comparisons and if so, is it worth it, or any pointers on what i should be looking at.

Budget is a significant factor.

Hey guys, thanks for reading and hopefully replying, speak soon.

I found the difference between 250mm and 300mm to be hardly noticeable. I would stick with your Canon lens tbh, until you can afford something longer like the Canon 100-400 or a Sigma 150-500.
