Bit of an odd one, I am rebuilding an old silencer for a 25 year old kawasaki bike.
It has an old full titanium exhaust on it but the silencer is in bad way.
All the parts are good but the body of the silencer the titaniume tube needs replacing.
I need to source a new section, measurements are approx 400mm long by about 12cm wide and the tube is approx 2mm thick.

I can't buy this part from yoshimura really as it is hyper rare and to be as close to origonal i need to just rebuild the origonal silencer.

any thoughts?

Might be worth contacting some exhaust manufacturers to see if they have / know where you can get the titanium tube / sheet bent ?

A couple of options...

http://www.btbexhausts.co.uk

http://www.cybox.co.uk/custom-build-exhausts

https://www.powerflowexhausts.co.uk - says stainless steel exhausts, but might be worth a phone call ?

http://www.jpexhausts.co.uk - as above

Another possible option is if you can find a sheet of titanium to your spec, could any of them roll it for you ?

Good luck in your search, hope these help, pop some details up with photos if you do get it sorted.

Janspeed in Salisbury as well

I use my local metal dealer, when i need stainless tube for exhausts, I go past there mostly everyday if you would like me to pop in and find out how much it would cost for you'r size in stainless, not sure if he does titanium .

it does need to be titanium on this as the whole system is titanium it is a Yoshimura Cyclone system for a ZRX400 Japanese import so it needs to be spot on.
I have actually had an email back from Yoshimura Japan that they will sell me a replacement back box for £600 !!!!!!

YIKES

If it's for a rider, go stainless but for a "proper" restoration, go original.

Have you tried the ZRX owners group?
