Morning all,

Having moved from my previous screw in filter (the ND110) I'm now using a set from Formatt Hitech, including 3, 10 and 16 ND. One of the issues I'm finding is light leaks, especially in regads to causing reflection of the glass of the lens / filter ... I've been using a buff to try and wrap around the filter which works to a point, but just wondering what our techniques folks use to help with cutting out the light.

Using a mirrorless camera by the way ..

cheers,

Nige

There should be foam gaskets with the 10 & 16 stop filters to seal against the fliter holder. Hitech are known for not always supplying them with the filters though. An email or phone call will normally get them to send some if you dont have them/

I don't know anything about Hitech filters but I have Lee big and little stoppers which are fitted with gaskets and I would say they are essential and don't forget to use them in the filter holder slot nearest the lens.

Regards Bob
