Hi,
has anyone one this forum any personal knowledge of tintypes or any suggestions of where to find anyone with that knowledge?
I have two tintypes, they are very dark and damaged. ideally I would like to scan the, or preserve them in some way.
They are a little outside of my personal experience. I believe they were taken in the mid 1930s.
Any Help or suggestions will be appreciated.

You could try contacting Allan Barnes - he does a lot of old and alternative processes, or perhaps look on the APUG forum.
