Just to show how times and attitudes have changed. In the 60's I was a teenager. After winning a beauty competition, at 16, a newspaper reported, along with a bikini clad photo, that I was about to join the police cadets. Soon after joining I was asked if I would do some calendar shots by one of the police photographers. I said I would, (but only in a swimming costume:).

One week, on the front page of the county's newspaper, there was a picture of me and a married police constable, walking through the towns park, on duty and in uniform, apparently holding hands. A caption underneath did report that the camera does lie and that we were not holding hands.

I mention these two stories because no-one complained about either, not me, my parents, the police force, the married officer nor his wife. Nor did I sue for harrassment every time some cheeky copper made comments about my figure or tried to touch inappropriately.I was flattered and laughed. I imagine things would be very different now. This showed when people thought I was brave asking to take photos of the police speed camera for my 52 recently.

How times have changed, if you did that now it would be across the front page of every redtop with people baying for blood.

Great story Sue and one which sadly illustrates how mad and PC obsessed the UK has become !!
