Edit My Images
Yes
my assignment for college is on time but i can,t think of what i could take pictues of, i need ten pictures and each one needs to be edited atleast twice

can anyone give me any ideas of what i could take pictures of

any ideas are appreciated , thanks

A clock somewhere very dark so can use a slow shutter speed and get blurred hands moving round maybe?

Welcome to the forums

baby, old person, seed, plant, dead plant, eroded stones, erm.. clock :)
how about a series, 10 pictures of the same object at different times of day - perhaps a clock tower..

Hang around a station and get 10 people checking their watches?

You've got to come back and share what you come up with after this! ;)

Welcome to the forums :)

The blured clock hands always work well. People checking watches, clock towers, sundials all stuff like that would be good. You could even go for things like rotting food and other more abstracted 'time' idea's.

Get a shot on a station with the clock in shot and a train motion blurred comming to a stop at a station. Could have the original shot then one heavier edited placing some emphasis on the clock.

Again at a train station about rush hour take a slowish exposure to get the train and platform stationary with the people becomming a sea of colour.

timetable
macro of clock innards
waiting room
oscilloscope
crossing the line at a race
cake rising in oven

The Time theme sounds really interesting. (hope i get this as a college assignment)

My initial thoughts were:

* an egg timer, with the sand falling
* an old weathered sun dial

Jimmy_Lemon, love the idea of a clock face with a long exposure to blur the hands slightly.

i was thinking of doing freezing time eg a drop of water splashing onto a leaf/hand, maybe a glass smashing on something

i think im going to do freezing time i have taken a couple of pictures i just need to take some of diferent ideas and maybe i could edit then buy adding in another image as if it has caused the effect of the other eg a splash and insert a ball into the picture to make the ball look like it is splashing

what do people think

Hmm only get a brief look before pixalo handily redirects me to their home page! Would understand it if I was a new user or something, but I am logged in! grrrrrr (to pixelo that is)

But I like the one Mole has reposted :) may look slightly prettier in a different container though.

the container was all i could find i was only testing that i could acutally catch the water and i think i did pretty good

thanks for comment on the other pic

For a competition titled "Where time stands still"

got a couple of pics for college nw with the whole water thing but i need ten and are stuck for ideas, i thought maybe i could do a similar thing with a glass smashing but i dont now how i could edit it and cant think of 7 more
im not very imaginative so any ideas are appreciated
thanks

For the glass smashing I would edit it in a nicely lit black and white photo then do a colour version.

howabout a watch or small clock encased in ice perhaps part melted "time frozen"

i may be changing my mind again and doing sayings eg time flies i have a few i could do but can anyone help me by thinking of some sayings eg party time or time is money

thanks again
matt

ummmm...

Killing Time
Time for change
No time like the present
Time is makes fools of us all
Time flies
One moment in time
rushing through time
no time to lose

hmmm...

Thats all i can think of right now. :)

Taffy, it would be nice to see some of the images you do get. :D

You could freeze time by catching a falling clock ;) or someone blowing a dandelion clock (seed head).

how about 'freezing time' literally :D
