Hi there,

Im going to order prints via DSColourlabs but i can only upload jpegs it seems. But if i save my tiffs to jpegs 300dpi will the image quality not suffer ALOT? Im doing some 36x12 prints so im abit nervous uploading jpegs.

Cheers for any info
David

A single top quality JPEG save shouldn't cause any problems, Multiple save, close, open cycles can cause degradation though.

If you're worried, get a single print done as a sample from a JPEG you supply.

I only mention this because I remember you're a college student from the other thread.. but does your college not have decent photo printing facilities? Probably cheaper.

Anyway.... a single JPEG save at quality 12, while not my ideal choice will probably be visually little different from the TIFF.. unless you're being properly arsy about it.

Yeh got nice printers charge us 3quid per A3 but printer isnt working the best at the moment. Needs a service.

JPG on 12 - had no problems with the hundreds of prints I've had printed
