Had a bit of a disaster last weekend.
After living with a filthy sensor for some time I decided to get the pads and fluid out only to make a complete pigs ear of the job and leave it covered in streaks and huge blobs of dirt.
Took it into Wilkinsons in Blackburn and the very helpful manageress Sara sorted it out for me.
£35 and the cleanest my sensor has ever been and all in less than 2 hours, top job.
 
Could you see the dust on the sensor or was it visible only on the pictures.I've looked at the sensor on my camera but never seen a spot:thinking:

I live in Preston and the Wilkinsons here is great, great on staff and they are prepared to move on price. They make Jessops look like amateurs!
 
I've dealt with Sara several times and she / the team at Blackburn have always been very friendly, knowledgable and helpfull. :thumbs:
 
I bought my first SLR from Wilkinson's Preston branch (years ago), and have been in many times since. Always great service.
 
My local camera shops have been very disappointing, the local Olympus agent hadn't got a single Olympus camera in the shop and only one Sony and the local Jessops had one Nikon D90 the other day.
I overheard the manager commenting that that was the only Nikon they had there!
