Thoughts on Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 lens

I have bought a Sigma 28-70mm lens which should be here tomorrow but I would like to hear of peoples expericences with this lens.

I bought the lens for £85 which included a Uv filter and delivery, is that a good price?

No they aren't, they are normally £100-£120 in mint condition.

You are probably thinking of the 24-70 f/2.8 Macro, but even £250 is quite expensive for that.

I think you meant a 24-70mm F2.8 EX DG Macro (82mm).

And mine was about #260.00

Just got the lens and I am really pleased with it.

Can't wait to give it a proper test on the RAC this weekend.

I think the lens is for a film slr camera but it functions as normal on the D50 so I still think I got a good deal and the seller threw in a polarising filter too which was not orignally in the deal.
