Hello,

My names Elliott, 18 and from Newcastle upon Tyne.

Just recently got into photography, mainly through my father and through something i spend a great deal of time doing...bmx.

My father , Paul Brown, has had work published, held exhibitions and used to do commercial photography. Photography has been a way to get to spend more time with him, as well as learn a lot. I look up to my dad as my greatest inspiration.

I also mentioned bmx, i've been riding now for around 4 years, i spend a lot of my free time when not at college or work riding my bike, its took me to a lot of places and allowed me to meet lots of new people, since getting a camera around 2month ago, its given me an opportunity to capture the talents of my friends and to capture the moments bmx has given me.

It sounds like you have plenty of help and inspiration on hand from your dad and it's great to hear that you've found a hobby that you have in common.

We're a friendly bunch so get stuck in and start finding your way around the forums.
Really looking forward to seeing some of your work.

I'm afraid my days of being 18 and able to stay up half the night are long behind me (especially if you want any sort of rational critique) . . .
