Hi there I thought I had better say hello, better late than never I have only been a member here for the last five years. I have a long time on off relationship with photography, I a assuming that my last posts coincided with me putting down the cameras for a while, anyway I have been back into photography since the second UK lock down well I had to find something to do.
A bit of background, I studied photography back in the 1980's going on to work for various wholesale and distribution companies in London, meeting some interesting people along the way but realising that I would never be a photographer along the way. Since then it has been a bit of a seven year itch hobby, buying a house - building a dark room good, starting family having a loft conversion - loosing dark room - bad. Discovering digital - good. Getting bored of digital - bad. Re discovering film - good. No time for developing film and scanning - bad. Lock down and nothing to do - taking lots of iPhone pics around the house good. Getting back into film -good. Discovering how much digital and photoshop have come on in ten years - good. And that brings us up to date.
What do I use now? EOS M6mk2, Leica M2, Olympus XA and Contax Aria film cameras and a recently acquired Leica M (M240) digital to use my vintage Canon LTM lenses on.
What do I take pictures of these days, mostly everyday stuff around London and travel (read holiday snaps )
I suspect I will mostly to be found around the Film, Leica, digital manipulation forums nut who knows.
