This site = slow again

Anybody else been having problems accessing the site for the last week or so?

It often takes ages for threads to appear - sometimes I can't get on here at all.
 
Improved a little now but half an hour ago it was slower than a slow thing going slowly :(
 
Same here, in the last hour or so it's been pretty bad.
 
thought it was just my connection to start with but I have noticed that fairly regularly lately.
 
Getting a tad annoying all this waiting .....come on guys !!! ;)
 
Does seem to be suffering qute frequent loss of service, went south on Friday I believe and yesterday - not alot can be done I guess, just frustrating when its gone for 10 or so minutes:(

Not any problems today though :)

Dunno, we had problems like this last year, then they did something and it was fine. But ever since the recent 'trouble', its gone arse-up again.
 
We're onto it. Thanks for the headsup. The current hosts have been informed again, and we're looking to sort some new hosting VERY soon.
I've checked everything I can from this end (within vBulletin), so it's down to the hosts.

We can fully understand the problems it's causing, because we're experiencing the same slowdowns too. Needless to say, we're on it, and we promise to have it sorted quick sharp.
 
Thanx for the info Marcel ... I took the opportunity to go shopping when it got so slow it was painful !

Did me a favour really but it is becoming more frequent and usually pre-empts down-time ! Soonest mended and all that ...
 
its very annoying for us though, we are trying to build this up and keep gettig this slowdown/dropouts. Very irritating!

Are you sure its not a denial of service attack in stealth ;)

well that had crossed my mind, but i dont know of anyone petty and childi......hmmmmmm
 
DOS would bring it down full stop, on cheap/poor hosting (not saying this is :p) you do get slow down and the service will drop. Its because your crammed on a server with a million other sites so at dinner time and just before they leave for the day office staff tend to hammer the sites slowing everything down.

That was the case with my site and we moved to a better server after filing lots of complaints - oh and clearing my account arrears lol
 
strange. I've not had any problems unless the thread I'm viewing has photo's hosted on an external site like photobucket or image shack. But they're always slow to load.
 
I've had the S-L-O-W problem for a few days. Sometimes won't even load up, and sometimes does, but takes forever.

There's been a few times I havn't been able to access the site over the past week aswell... but it's normally back up and running at full speed after an hour or two.
 
Update :

A shiney new hosting type server thingy has just been signed up for.

Aaaand now come a few very very late nights of getting things all transferred over. :nuts:
If anyone sees my wife and kids over the next week, tell em I'm sorry, and I'll be with them as soon as I can :bonk:

We'll make an announcement when we're ready to switch the server on, so to speak ;)

In the meantime, could you all have a quick root through your galleries at www.tpfgallery.com and clearout anything you dont want, and also check your registered emails for a note from matty. Some people are being asked to trim their galleries down for now.

It all helps for when we move over you see :)
