I am looking for a web solution. I need to create some web pages that will enable me to upload a large quantity of images and set prices etc, and allow visitors to order prints from a third party. Also it'd be good to have a proofing function, so particularly for weddings, the bride and groom can proof images for the wedding album remotely.

I've looked at a couple of solutions, and doing a search here, Photobox has had good reviews when it comes to print quality. But looking at their 'pro' galleries, it doesn't look like you can customise the pages very much. Ideally, I would like the print / sales area to look very similar to the other pages on the site.

There seems to be a few alternatives in the US, but I can't really find an alternative to Photobox - any clues out there?

Thanks

Why do you need them to order directly from a third party? I use Photium for my images/website and upload anything from 200-500 per week at the height of the season, it's certainly quick and easy. It has a paypal facility and then I order direct from Photobox and send the prints out myself.

For me, the problem with using a Photobox gallery is that prospective customers can then see the difference in the cost of the prints i.e. what you are charging versus what Photobox charge.

I have to agree with Hacker here. His way of doing it also means you get to see the product before it is shipped so if there is any issue with quality you can take care of it before the client ever sees the pics.

Pure laziness if the truth be told.

I do like honesty! Seriously, it doesn't take that much work and if clients are paying for the service/prints you need to have some QC in there as Renee said.
