Third-party ink on Epson R2880

Just received some ink cartridges from China... The printer will not recognize them. When this happened in my old R340 there was an override by scrolling the menu and 'accepting' the cartridges. Any way to deal with this on the R2880? Of course, the cartridges could be duds.
 
I use third party inks from internet-ink.co.uk on my Epson 1400 with no problem, although I don't know where the ink is made.

My PX710W does this with some 3rd party cartridges. All I do is unplug it from the mains for a few seconds and then power it up again and all is well :)
