I've got a Tamron Adaptall-2 lens (28-50) that I don't use, and I need to sell it to fund some other recent purchases. It's got a Pentax K mount on it. I'm just looking for suggestions on whether I should sell it with the mount, or "naked" as it were. I've seen fleabay listings for the K mount for much more than my lens, and of course there are comparatively fewer K mount camers than Canikon etc. I've no particular plans to buy any other Adaptall-2 lenses, but it remains a possibility.

Any advice?

I always sell 'em separately. I don't think that a Tamron gains much interest due to it's mount as many users will be flinging it into a drawer. Probably alongside a bunch of other unused mounts that they aim to sell one day. :)

The only downside is they look a bit naked without a mount. Shouldn't affect the price tho.

Well I don't know this Tamron but if it's wanted, people will buy it with or without adapter and you can sell the adapter separately.

If its the 'Pentax KA' type mount then definitely sell is separately as their worth quite a bit of money (and prominently advertise it as such) due to them providing the electronic contacts of the second generation K mount which allows the adaptall lenses to work completely with modern AF SLR's/DSLR's that lack the original mechanical aperture readout lug.

Thanks folks. The lens has an A setting but there are no electrical contacts, so that possibly reduces the interest. Since it's the only one I've got I'll maybe hang on to it; gives a bit greater flexibility in buying future lenses. I'm not expecting much for it; came as a package with the MX.
