As I am still learning. There are two Evening classes, I've got two options:

Photography Beginners
Victoria Yard, Photographic Studio
Start: 30/09/08 or 20/01/09 or 21/04/09
Day: Tues Time: 6.30pm-9.00pm
No of weeks: 10 How to Apply? L
Fee: £87.50 Concession Fee: £20
Extra cost for Photographic paper. Beginners.
Designed for those with very little knowledge
of the use of 35mm SLR Camera. Looking at
composition, film speeds, shutter and aperture
settings, you will be encouraged to shoot your
own black and white images and develop them
in the darkroom.

or

Photography Improvers
Victoria Yard, Photographic Studio
Start: 02/10/08 or 22/01/09 or 23/04/09
Day: Thurs Time: 6.30pm-9.00pm
No of weeks: 10 How to Apply? L
Fee: £87.50 Concession Fee: £20
Extra cost for Photographic paper. Improvers.
Digital or traditional. You will learn how to
produce a set of photographs as a personal
display, montage or calendar, on a theme using
a range of photographic skills. Any still camera
suitable, including simple ‘point and shoot’.
You can progress to City and Guilds
Photography Level 2 course.

I'm thinking the Improvers course may be a better option as I'm starting to know my way around my SLR but I'm not overly confident. What do you guys think? Help!

They look slightly different courses. One is SLR but with a 35mm film bent. Whereas the 'improvers' seems more for Digitial or Film.

Give the college a call and ask for a week by week curriculum or to speak to one of the tutors. He / She might ask to seem some of your work and will ask about what you do / don't know already. Hopefully they can advise which is suitable.

I'd do the first one, learning the basics is never a bad thing and will form a strong foundation in digital too, and learning how to develop B&W is very rewarding.
