Hello,

I hope you can shed some light on this oddity.

I recently recovered my photos (RAW, jpeg's and gifs) using EASUS recovery software from a harddrive that had a Windows problem (invalid master table). The photos had not been deleted but the files were inaccessible thus EASUS managed to extract them all.

Now that they've been extracted and still at their original sizes, I can't view any of them. This only happened to the folders containing my photos but not to other folders containing jpegs (e.g. music albums). Its over 60GB of photos just sitting there :(

The drive was attached via usb (technically slaved) and didn't need any admin passwords. All other files and folders are working normally except for my photography work.
 
Can't help with the problem but you may wish to ask on the Computer Forum.

Can the software recover those particular RAW files. I've had problems with some recovery software not working with 1Dslll CR2 files

The images recovered were a mix between CR2's, jpeg's and gif's all of which are suffering form the same problem.
I'll try posting in the computers section too.
