as i mostly shoot MX and that means a lot of the time the shots are pointed up in the sky when the bikes are jumping, maybe im beating myself up on this but yesterday was a bit of a head basher:bang: as there where patches of pure white streams coming through the grey cast of the sky and really didnt make for a good image. the low shots in the berms etc where really nice but many sky ones where just poor in my opinion :(

anyone else suffer with this or am i missing a way round it without under exposing the rider, i did consider using my speed light but risk blinding the riders and not sure how well it would have done anyway as the riders are getting 20+feet in the air plus the height of the jumps..

soon as a bit of blue sky breaks it all improves ten fold

I'm not sure just how much of a distraction flash would be.

awesome! did think it was gonna be a spoof at first though lol he did have a nice sky to shoot where all we seem to get at the moment is a dazzling silver/grey a bit like looking into a speedlight as it goes off lol

I'm no MX fan but thoroughly enjoyed the video. Planning and effort really pays off. The pictures were sensational.
