My wife bought some fresh crickets for our Leopard Gecko, Geri, and she failed to buy the silent type. They are driving me ****ing barmy.

That is all :)

Any kind of cricket has the same effect on me...

oh.............

You have two choices, clip the wings or feed all the males off first.

Can't you just introduce the crickets to the gecko and wait for the crunch? :)

Ha - we had gecks many moons ago - had a cricket great escape (kids.didnt.put.lid.on.tight) - caught most of them... but that one... that one little guy that crept under the bath - DROVE.US.NUTS!!!!!!

Hate to tell you but even the so called silent ones are blummin' noisy!

I had the same problem until i buy black crickets, they are silent and most reptile shops stock them

That's nothing, at least it was your own house.
I had gecko's around about 15 years ago, loved them, and would have kept them had it not been for the complaints from the neighbours, looks like a few crickets had escaped and worked their way through the house and were dropping out of their ceiling lights

oops :D

still not entirely sure how or where they'd got out.

I used to shout "cricket alert" at the family when I saw one crawling up the curtains. Luckily:(, I have tinitus and I couldn't hear them.

This may be stating the bleeding obvious,
but keep them in the fridge and just feed enough that will get eaten in any one sitting.

The last 20/20 world cup had the same effect on me :-)

take up tennis instead  :$
