Eww...sea snot. :puke:

Jealous but can't have.... big allergy issue hence epipen carrier......

It looks like someone's ........ Well never mind what it looks like but it's just put me off my Sunday dinner

That looks revolting. I'm going to start a better thread.

I feel ill at the mere mention of cockles and whelks, never mind oysters, I can't eat anything that still has eyes and mouth attached.

And yet I have lived practically next door to what is still a working harbour for the last 30 years (I can smell the fish market from my house depending on wind direction, especially in the summer).

Whelks, jellied eels, (etc) bring it on :)
Trouble is, living so far away from the sea, they are not always a nice as they could be though :(

I sea a house exchange coming on M8 :D

 :plus1: :)Man against oyster bed is my idea of sport! ... and huntin' [shootin'] and fishin'!

Have to admit that oysters aren't my favourite shellfish - much prefer a big vat of mussels or a plate of cockles.

Farnk Skinner's description of Oysters sums them up for me : "Like licking phlegm off a tortoise"

:puke:...I was actually just sick in my mouth a little bit.

Ironic really, as im assuming that is exactly what oysters taste like.

As per the lion king link,
slimy but satisfying :)
Oh and you are not supposed to chew them either ;)
but if you do, they are a tad peppery :)
