Yes
I'm doing a dressage competiton today so standing around freezing my bits off, it's not like you can keep moving to stay warm. :shake:

At least you are going to be doing something enjoyable while you freeze Colin ;) .........I'm going to be stuck freezing my things off on a building site today :(

Sun not shining in Inversnecky and needing to go for an estimate for a haircut. May try to get my 5D out again

Ive got this real urge to do something photographic today, so much so I can't sleep. But I'm stuck for inspiration :(

We're going to head out somewhere to make a start on "26 things" I think. Most likely somewhere in East Anglia but it's got to have night shots possibilities for me as I've now committed to the idea of having an "After Dark" section on my website and I need some more pics for it before it can go live!

The weather here is stunning this morning. I'm now just hoping that my Practical Photography free orion Trekker arrives this morning as I don't fancy carrying the Mini trekker around all day!

About to go out to take some photos in the Chilters right now! :D

Nice frosty morning, might go out with the Macro lens and capture some fallen leaves that have frozen or look for spidey webs that are frozen.

*If* I get nice clouds I'm going to get some Liverpool football photos and then hope that the sunset is nice to get some others I need.

Off to meet Joe T and co at Santa Pod... and I'm leaving in about 10 mins :)

Contemplating getting in the shower and then maybe out into the bright sunshine and cold to buy a hot water bottle for tonight :D

Flame & Thunder!!! :D

Looking forward to seeing the shots Joe. :)

Nothing much for me this weekend...fireworks are on the list I guess. There’s a huge display planned for Victoria Park...including music, lasers and a huge mechanical Tiger. ...what ever happened to Guy Fawkes then.

...if anybody’s planning to wander the streets of London this weekend, give us a shout and I'll come and drink coffee with you...I'll bring my camera too.

grey and cloudy here :( hope its a bit better tommorow, want some clear skies for fireworks :)

Just taking a new PC System to Skipton to install and show him how to use it..:geek:

Nothing planned for Sunday as yet..

ah, now tomorrow IS planned already. "Bonfire Burnup" grasstrack meeting at Collier Street in Kent. 500cc solos and 500cc and 1000cc sidecars for those who know their bikes. Looking hopeful on the weather front - last year was drizzling for most of the day and ankle-deep in mud. After the racing has finished they have a huge bonfire and firework display.

I started operation cleanup about 3 hours or so ago. I really wish I hadn't even started.

We've got two bedrooms, the front one is quite a bit bigger than the back one but the back room has the brilliant view, the front one faces out onto the main road. We've got a king size bed and it takes up most of the space in the back bedroom and the front bedroom is just piled up with crap that we have moved in with (nearly 3 years ago), we just keep dumping rubbish in there, and more and more and more. We got woodworm in the dining room and we had to move everything that was in there up to the spare room too including my lovely computer desk, so I was set up on a temporary desk too.

Theres only one wardrobe in the back bedroom and one set of drawers, theres another set of drawers and another wardrobe in the front room that you can't get to, so there are clothes absolutely everywhere.

I've gotten rid of the single bed in the front room, thats going to my mum and dads, the king size matress is against the back wall in the front room, the base(s) of the bed are in the hallway and bathroom. The super computer desk is now assembled in the back bedroom.

I'm just eating lunch (or about to eat lunch) - a subway sue got me last night.

Shes working all day today and tomorrow till 8:30pm and we've been saying we'll do it and keep saying we will and we just end up watching TV or going out or whatever. I could have spent this weekend playing games or whatever but no, I get these crazy ideas into my head at 8:30am and decide to start mass furniture moving operations.

I need a shower, I also need somewhere to sleep tonight. I think 8 hours is plenty of time to have it done, then Sue can sort the clothes out on Monday.

my uncle wears a pair of tights under his trousers when he goes fishing to keep him warm....mind you, I do wonder about him a bit :naughty:...I just thought that Colin might like this bit of advice to keep his bits from freezing :)

I'm drawing some pictures. Haven't picked up a pencil in 20 years but it seems I can still knock out a decent sketch.

Also learning the ins and outs of Adobe Illustrator.

Nice frosty morning, might go out with the Macro lens and capture some fallen leaves that have frozen or look for spidey webs that are frozen.

Be interested to see the pics if you managed it. I planned to do the same but have sat trying to advise a cyber buddy in marriage crisis!

Went to Westonbirt though yesterday, have to admit I was a bit diappointed. And £7.50 just to walk around an arbouretum, tut!
The Acer glade was a bit of a disappointment, partly because there were more togs hanging on the trees than there were leaves!
I left with very little other than very cold fingers!

I was supposed to be going to Santa Pod today with Joe and the others, but have managed to wake up with a stinking headache thats not even drink induced ! No matter what tablets i take its not shifting ! so looking at 3000bhp plus dragsters isnt exaclty enthralling me at the moment !

My wife scornfully reminded me about it being such a glorious day and not even being interested in getting the gear out ...

Seems I am having a lack of inspiration break from stuff ...

Anyway ... cleared the decking of my precious fuschias into the greenhouse so that's one winter's jobby done.

Entertaining a neighbour tonight so I gotta go make my homemade pasta for eats...

Catch you all later ... but whatever you are doing ... enjoy ...:D

V ... :p

I have spent the day at Team England NFL Trials in Oxford as I was asked to cover this. Had been great, another superb insight and now sat watching the big names cut 130 players down to 65 in the boardroom.

Heading off to Birmingham to cover the Bonfire Bowl, the opening game of the UK UNi American Football season.

All go, but great.

Diego.

Hmm well by the time I got to Anfield it was overcast. Maybe I can rescue the detail from it with HDR. It was interesting to see all the fans touching the Hillsborough monument for good luck. Different kinda atmosphere to the Everton game. Rubbish environment for shooting wide angle though.

Been at work all day knocking down a wall! We've just taken on the ajoining unit and today we've taken out the wall to double our space. Bleedin' hard day's work that. AND it meant I couldn't go to Santa Pod :bang:

I went and got a Sigma 30mm f/1.4 for my eos. Lovely lens, and practically what I remember a 50mm lens used to look like....Standard prime Time. i spent the best part of the day wandering around testing it.

Jessops price matched the lens for me without quibbling BTW!

It is the London to Brighton vintage car rally today so I have just spent the last few hours loitering around the high road with my camera.

Now I am going to try to get the feeling back in my hands then have some breakfast.

Michael.
