Cosmos A Space Time Odyssey will be premier on Sunday. It is being simulcast on ALL National Geographic channels and ALL Fox entertainment channels in the USA. That's a simultaneous launch on 10 channels.

One week later (March 16th) it premiers in the UK, being simulcast on National Geographic HD and Sky 1 HD.

It is also being broadcast in OVER 180 countries globally, meaning this is the largest television launch event ever. A fitting legacy to a great series (Cosmos: A Personal Voyage) and the greatest science educator, Carl Sagan.

Odd, I don't know what your getting but That Link is a search result for 'Cosmos A Space Time Odyssey' ...Plenty of Carl their Im finding.

The Carl Sagan series was Cosmos - A Personal Voyage. This BRAND NEW SERIES NEVER SEEN BEFORE is called Cosmos - A Space Time Odyssey and features Neil de Grasse Tyson. It premiers in the USA on Sunday, and one week later in the UK.

It must be clear now?

Ah it is sorry. Mixed up here, mainly because I wouldn't listen to a word from Neil de Grasse Tyson. National geowhaffle. ;)

Every time I catch myself saying "don't do that" to one of my kids, I'm reminded of this video

Thanks for the heads up, I'll be watching!

lol, I know just what you mean. I go for this Larkin poem myself....little edit on the second word, and again in the next paragraph. ;)

This be The Verse
By Philip Larkin
They huck you up, your mum and dad.
They may not mean to, but they do.
They fill you with the faults they had
And add some extra, just for you.

But they were Hucked up in their turn
By fools in old-style hats and coats,
Who half the time were soppy-stern
And half at one another’s throats.

Man hands on misery to man.
It deepens like a coastal shelf.
Get out as early as you can,
And don’t have any kids yourself.

The original series was created by Carl Sagan, Ann Druyan (Sagan's wife) and Steven Soter. This new series was created by Druyan and Soter. Tyson is cut from a different cloth to Sagan, but he is an able science educator.

So not is this the biggest launch of a tv series ever (simulcast on 10 channels in the USA, followed by enhanced playbacks during the week; and subsequent launch in 180 countries) but it's been announced today that the series will be introduced to this new generation by President Obama himself.

Update on UK launch times:

Sunday 16th March

19:00 Sky 1 HD
19:00 National Geographic HD
19:00 National Geographic Wild HD
21:00 Fox HD

A really encouraging start to the series. Different yet familiar. I thought Tyson's personal tribute to Sagan at the end was quite moving.

A second series has been commissioned. Cosmos: Possible Worlds will air in spring 2019 on Fox and National Geographic.
