The Photography Institute...?

That's quite an interesting site, I think I may just see how I get on with that, some books and maybe some hands on lessons...

I joined the photography institute course last year, due to time demands of a family, marathon running and a family I never finished it ;o(

What I will say is that I found it very difficult to continually read from a screen, to just sit there for 3/4 hours reading through each module ad trying to make myself understand everything I was being taught. I am a complete beginner and found it a little confusing at times.

On a plus side the assignments were marked very quickly and good constructive feedback was given by the tutor.

I'd like to do another course but won't be going back to the Photography Institute for it.

Cheers for that. I've decided to sack off the courses, buy some good books and just practice, post, get criticism, lick wounds and practice more!

With the money I'll save I'll try and do a couple of tutorial type things, 2 day landscape photography etc.
