Hi All,

Let me start by saying this is NOT an advert for DVD2!!!

We are in the planning stages for DVD2, and I wanted to know what you would like to see in DVD2, the ETA for the DVD isn't until around xmas time this year at the earliest. When we get closer to a shippable product we will let you know individually by email. This is the one and only post and its a request for information.

By all reports DVD1 was a big hit, so what would you like to see in DVD2? please be specific, anything from critiquing DVD1, to things that were not explained enough to anything new you would like ot see. So far this is the list:

The Passion of the Art – Shooting Glamour Volume 2 – Mastering light.

Shoot #1: Hydro Majestic – Blue Mountains. Stacey-Lee
Shoot#2: Outdoor pool. Woonona. Lauryn Eagle

- Using the colour card (the MacBeth)
- Coloured gels – advanced uses. Barn doors to control colour spill.

Other Considerations:
- All Staff must have logo shirts at all times and look professional.

- New logo on all brands (Cole studios)

I bought your first DVD and recommended it on here earlier tonight!

I will mail you, more than happy to buy the second one!!!!!

Carl.

....a discount for those who have already got DVD 1? :p

How about come over to the UK and shoot some over here, give us an idea of how to work with the surroundings we have around us. Not exactly easy, but it'd be something id love to see! (I'll buy you a pint myself if you do this :p)

Urmm it sounds good so far, maybe a little bit more time showing the exact positioning of the lights? Im just picking at it now though :) It was an excellent watch.

Tom.

I think it would be nice to see more studio glamour. The studio stuff on the first DVD was an extra and more fashion. I England we don't have the nice beaches and good weather all the time, so studios are perhaps and more practical environment. Help on creating a simple set perhaps.

:plusone:

This man talks sense... More studio stuff please - and how & why to keep it as simple as possible - that kind of thing.

Steve

Yes, I think that would be even more interesting as it is a garage, which is probably what most people would do (or hire a studio). It would also show that you don't need massive expensive studios.

Going off subject slightly (to make a point), I have a musical instrument tuition DVD. at the end the tutor, shows other performers styles of a similar type of music. I.E how other performers do the same thing. It could be interesting to show differences in photographers glamour styles. That would also prevent people becoming a carbon copy of you.

LOL yeah i think i am gaining a small amount of carbon copies of me.. hehehee

Having said that, once people know what they are doing, they will diverse and develop their own style too...

Jason I bought the DVD the last week or so and it has only helped push me towards going for what I aim to do with my photography. I loved the out-takes as well thats a must!!!!!

I think a little more into the whole flash positioning etc and the studio glamour idea are good points.
I would really like to see you over here in UK! lol.

I was thinking earlier, how about doing a shoot with as little kit as poss but still with pro results. It would be good for new comers and less equiped togs like myself. Say norm stuff like body + lens, but maybe just a reflector and off cam flash like the SB800. Just an idea.

Anyway make sure to let us know when its ready I will be one of first to buy a copy.

Phil

Hi Phil,

thanks for your feedback. the DVD is still a while off yet, most likely around xmas time... i have a book coming out soon though. Its all about the business of photography. Not about shooting but about making money from your passion. The proof readers so far have loved it..... it should be available in around 3-4 weeks.

My home studio is my garage, but it works very effective, would you like to see some of that on here?

That would definitely be of interest. Especially considering I am turning my workshop (similar size to single garage) into my home studio :)
