Evening all!

Anyone got an N900 or had one for all of half a day and want to launch it out the window?

I just can't see how it works as a phone! It's a shocking thing!

Or may be I need to give it more time?

Plus is there actually any decent Nokia's avaliable that arn't touch screen and are decent?

Stuggling to see anything better than my N86 8mp.

p.s hate anything "i" that includes i-phones and ipods!

Sounds like you need a new phone, send it to me and i'll post you £50 to go and buy one :D

Really that bad?

I have the n97 pretty happy with it after the updates, still use my old n95 too as a back up, why Nokia?. I use a SOny Ericson K850i for work phone as it seems to be the best phone 'phone' (yes that was delibrate) i have ever used.

I use a N900 on and off as a company handset, its OK but the battery life is the most shocking thing!

People forget its actually a Nokia tablet such as the N800 but with a radio chip added on. its not for the average phone user. Its been marketed wrong by all networks selling it!

its a linux internet tablet!

I had one for a bit, and its not like a phone! Everything has to be done in landscape format, my arm ached after have a 20 minute conversation, it is heeeeavy! Though I've had no end of problems with it, my SE X10 is miles better! :P

been using it last nite and today after playing with setting it up and its not as bad as I first thought. I don't think its heavey. Just abit too thick.

Having to use it in landscape is driving me mad but the next update will enable it to be used in portrait.

I hate sending texts but am loving the qwerty keyboard.

Im in two minds at the moment with what to do. I will give it till Sunday and see if I can get on with it. Then if not return it.

I think the main problem is, its nothing like a nokia interface. I fear change

I've got one (freebie from work) and I really like the UI.

Its more of a mini-mini internet tablet than a phone though. For browsing, or messaging with a nice keyboard it works well. I coudn't work out how to do the phone thing or send a text myself for ages!

The n900 is a proper geeks phone, to get the most out of it you have got to be willing to delve around in the OS and do lots of console command type stuff. I'm actually rather surprised it entered the mainstream really with such an early release of the OS.

Anyhow, send it back and get and HTC desire instead, awesome phone and has no 'i' anywhere.

I've had the N96 now for over a year and it is the worst phone i have ever owned. I preferred the N95. Contract is up for upgrade soon and i will be going back to a 6700 classic. It phones people and text's people. What more do i need?

N96 was the worst nokia ever. I had it as soon as it came out and had a battle with nokia to get it replaced as no updates were coming out to fix its many, many issues. In the end they replaced it with an N86 8mp, which is an awesome phone! Been 100% reliable and superb to use, which is why Vodaphone are getting a phone call to come and collect the N900 and take it back.
