Did anyone else nip out to the shops today to get a copy of the Independent newspaper. It has for the next 7 days a free magazine to do with photography.

Todays was - How to use the Camera - and I was surprised at how much info was in it. Quite often these things are full of loads of photos and no info (like some photo mags I could mention).

Tomorrow - A 30 day copy of Photoshop Elements and the magazine is How to take better photos.

Then next week a series of 5 tutorials on using the software.

Well so far i'm impressed.

Must remember to go out and get a copy tomorra. - someone remind me :D
 
I was debating about getting this I must admit but didn't in the end a) because all the copies had gone by the time I got into Tesco tonight after our V-E-R-Y long walk this afternoon (feet hurting now - LOL!) and b) because I reckoned it might be aimed at cameraphone/point and shooters who wimply wanted to know how to do the basics. Wish I had now - sounds useful!
 
I went and got my copy today..its really informative and makes me want to get out there and take some photos :thumbs:

You can pick up back copies on-line Matt ... Back-copies ... although it does cost £3 post free ... but 45p (I think) goes to a charity ... :thumbs:

As far as I can see the Free CD with Sunday's issue provides a 30 day free trial of Elements V. (?) ... and is then followed in the next 5 issues by a daily tutorial for the software ... might be great for those thinking of buying elements (with E5 being a truly superb version imo ... :D) ... or those that have it and want to know the basics ... :shrug:

I got a copy today...no glossy magazine in there though :(

Despite the promise of one on the front cover....

Too far to travel back into town to go back into the WHSmiths I got it from.
 
Got the lot, its ok!
worth the cover price of the paper.
