Or so someones named David Sandison, John Buckle, Michael Brook & Andrew James reckon ...
Anyway I just thought I would share this summary from Jill's Indy last weekend ... the stand-out entry for me was ...
The Holga ...
... and I quote ... "this cheap, chunky, clunky lump of plastic is enjoying a new lease of life as "Holgarists" share their snaps on-line."
All the usual suspects are well represented and some other, imhgo, 'unusual' entries include ...
Diana+ - "Another 'toy' camera enjoying a resurgence to rival Holga's"
Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera - "refurbished cameras are selling well" ... apparently !
Pinhole 100 - supposedly a "camera obscura" based item shooting on polaroid and even chocolate film ... Mmmm yummy ...
Zero Image - a hand-made monstrosity in teak & brass using 35mm, 120 or 4x5 and a "deluxe version comes with a cable release ..."
Lomography Actionsampler Flash - a quad lens marvel "the camera takes four images in a second, using each of its lenses, synchronised with the flash"
Horizon Panoramic - a canary in a clockwork Russian machine from Zenit "the lens rotates in tandem with the lens cover, which includes a vertical slit ... produces wonderfully distorted images with impressive sharpness ..." ...
And a myriad mobile phones for heaven's sake ...
Oh well ... someone's got to do the hard work ...
