The Future is Now

I'll sleep better for being reminded....thanks ;)

Are we supposed to know who he is?

R.I.P.

I've seen things on YouTube people wouldn't believe.

Hoverboards on fire off the shelves of Walmart.

I watched beards glitter in the dark near London Fields.

All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

Time to die.

If only you had read the threads I've read with your eyes!

Forgotten about him. Might have to dig out Blade Runner again :)

"I've watched Cbeebies for ten hours a day."

I saw it when it was released at the cinema and loved it ever since. The excellent Vangelis music. The spotlights behind ventilator fans copied by so many since then. The dusty rooms with flapping pigeons. The filthy, tiled bathrooms with water running down the walls. "Home again, home again, jiggidy-jig!"

"it's too bad she won't live. But then again, who does. "

The newer directors cut version doesn't have the detective voice over like the original. Which I liked. Shame.

I was in Tokyo a few years ago, and saw giant adverts on the sides of buildings that were illuminated videos, one showing an Asian lady eating something. I was like woah! The future is now.

Don't Walk. Don't Walk. Don't Walk. Cross Now. Cross Now...

I've got both the directors cut and original versions, much prefer the original myself even with the cheesy ending.

Great film - one of the all time classics. Bought the DVD years ago but never opened it - it's still in its silly plastic wrapping - might dig that out now and watch it:)

^ All of them :)

One of the best movies ever made.

There was a TV series made not long after the original, set in the same world but somewhat earlier, that explored the relationship between humans and the humanoids who worked for them. Very frustratingly I can't remember what it was called or who starred in it right now, though I do have the info at home.

Missed this thread when it started. Agree with a lot of the above - one of the best films and based on the work of best of SF authors of the 20th century.
