The Flash Helmet – A Photographer’s Quest for Perfect Light

how can something so stupid be so awesome at the same time =O

No problem getting smiles having that monstrosity on your head.

brilliant idea, however my pride might not let me buy this!

No more drab, miserable looking faces in your shots.! Bound to get fits of laughter.

I wonder if FITP has sorted out a supplier for these yet?

I wonder if FITP has sorted out a supplier for these yet?

He's hired a dozen vietnamese kids to make them in his garage :)

I can't help wondering what the met police would make of these, section 44 or not I'm willing to bet you'll get their "attention"
What about a backpack with a small generator and a brace of studio heads.....

Dont like the harsh shadows, cant imagine it would be a good idea in wind and/or rain, other than that it looks a great idea :)

Your a brave man for admitting that :)

Yeah, maybe ;) All in the pursuit of art.

For social stuff it's great. And you never fail to get everyone's attention with a smile  (that is actually a serious upside!). One speedlite goes through the brolly as main light, and a second master unit on-camera goes straight up to bounce off the ceiling which can pretty much fill the room. All in E-TTL and you can control the ratios between the two so easily, plus ambient balance

You might laugh, but if I was a wedding tog it's practically a portable studio... :)

I feel silly sometimes just walking around with a light stand with an SB-900 in a softbox perched on top of it. It might make more sense to people if I had a camera with me too. :P

Wonder if it comes with a spinning bow tie and a flower with a water pistol built in and big bright yellow shoes....where can I get one

i've walked through the woods with a softbox on a long handle and an sb900 attached, you do get some funny looks  i wasn't close to home though

I really really really can't wait to get my SB900 from Nikon now
