This was on BBC4 last night. The BFI have restored some of the cine film taken during the 1924 Everest expedition in which Mallory and Irvine died.

An excellent record, well worth a watch in my opinion.

I watched it last night - I thought it was absolutely riveting. Thanks for the heads up regarding iPlayer, I'd forgotten about that and I will definitely watch it again.
