A contender for the dullest thread! I need to connect my 500C/M and Nikon SB-25 flash, and I think it requires a male to male PC socket cable.

Any recommendations? I believe my Nikon flash has a screw fit PC socket, which enables the PC cord to be held securely in place. Does anyone use one of these, and is it worth it? It sounds much better!

For the C lenses the recommended cable is one made by Paramount. It seems that they actually make a tip for the Hasselblad C lens that apparently is an improvement on a standard pc tip. You'll need deep pockets though as they are custom made item. http://www.paramountcords.com/default.asp

Thanks for posting that, I had no idea that there was a difference. My portrait lens is CF but my standard is a C lens, so I'm not sure it's worth shelling out for a custom made cord when a standard one would probably be adequate.

you can do pc sync cord > hotshoe adapter with a wireless trigger too :)

I already use Yongnuo triggers but since it's basically on-camera it seems an unnecessary faff?

I would just splice together a couple of old cables from flashes to make a male to male lead.

I thought I had a male to male lead which I was going to offer to you but I have just found it and it's male to female unfortunately.

Steve.
