the compulsory - what you doing at the weekend thread ?

Hey HUN got yr lawnmower kite fixed yet?

Well, having just watched Bristol Rugby win from the stands and taking every image with my eyes, I hope to get out and shoot some footy or rugby tomorrow.

That was hard.....:(

Sat = Spanish lessons and buying (maybe ... :D) dining table etc., and home movie with deliver-in in the evening ... with a glass of something suitably relaxing ...

Sun = Spanish homework ... :naughty: ... and time for playing ...

Whatever y'all doing ... try and enjoy ... and if you can't enjoy ... try and keep smiling (at least when people are watching !) ... ;)

:p

24-70??????? Traitor :'(

LOL - no, that was always in the plan! Think about it....12-24mm > 24-70mm > 70-200mm. Geddit?! All bases covered! :p

I got my 350D (courtesy of a certain someone on TP!) last night so I'll be playing with it! Yay! I've taken a few shots of Moley and am already in love with it (over my point and shoot anyway lol) :D

Also trying to stay awake through all 6 series of Men Behaving Badly - I don't know what it is about me but I can't watch a DVD now without falling asleep

Going to Shrewsbury Tomorrow. Hope weather improves as I am dying to play with my new 5D and 24-105mm L IS.

On the downside, My new PC my Bruv built got spiked and surged with the recent weather chaos, resulting in having to have a new power supply, new Motherboard and modem. My fault really for having it on in the bad storms. :bang:

Just off to Heathrow to pick up Suzanne's aunt who's flown in from Montreal (her arms will be aching!)

Then its a family re-union Sunday lunch tomorrow - not a lot of photo opportunities - maybe some family shots!!!

In between that lot is Sainsburys and maybe even Lakeside -arrrrrgh

Spent Friday afternoon and probably all day Saturday laying a laminate floor in the kitchen. Its the type that looks like 4 floor tiles in a strip.

Never never never decide to lay it in a diamond pattern , it looks good but it's a pain in the **** at every corner / pipe / doorway :nono:

Lots of beer does help (but only afterwards)

Fixing the busted fence panels. :(

Also going out and playing with my new 17mm Tokina Prime lens which eventually arrived this week :woot:
not sure where to go yet though ...

hmm so much for plans eh, we've got servere gales here again today

Wifes gone to Dublin so I'm on me jack jones.

Just debating to go out and take some pics, not sure where or what of, or carry on building fitted wardrobes that i really need to get finished.

I might wait until tomorrow to go out as its gonna be less windy., and clouds are staring to roll in.

I was hoping to get some shots of the local rugby team, but it seems both the first and second teams are away this week.:bang:

Great, isn't it????

Ha! not quite the word Id use!!! Gets my goat really....... women who DON'T work do the housework in the week and have a lovely free weekend when it's us who have been working hard all week who need the free weekend!! :cuckoo:

hmm so much for plans eh, we've got servere gales here again today

Well that's the fence fixed, now it's time to play with the new lens :woot:

Just been to Calshot nr Southampton - m8 of mine runs a cycling club & theres an indoor velodrome built in the hanger where they used to make flying boats - real interesting place now used for cycling / skiing / climbing
Tried to take some photos & hope there will be some worth sharing ... Paul ;)

Weathers terrible here, rain and gales and cloud:(, holding out for tomorrow - but not very optimistic

Just spent two days putting the new floor in the kitchen...

Mr G to Mrs G "what do you think of the floor ??

Mrs G "hmmm , will have to see what it looks like with the new skirting & plinths" (another solid days worth of work )

nothing like a bit of support :bang:

CameraWorld didn't have my lens in stock. :'( Apparently it's "A bit of an odd length for digital" so they don't sell many of them. Eh? I thought half the members on here had one so it can't be THAT odd! Anyway it's ordered, being sent on to me at work, should be there tuesday.

Jessops are a bunch of rogues. In spite of still advertising in various places that they are price matching, and some stores still doing the price match to cameras-2-u etc, the store in Chelmsford refused point blank and wanted £349 for it. Oh well, it gave the chap in CameraWorld a giggle, anyway!

On the way to Chelmsford we drove through the lanes and discovered LOADS of places to go back to with a camera - so that's one day in an upcoming weekend sorted out! :D

Mum and Dad's for lunch today - shall I go and try some squirrel shots this morning do you reckon?
