This is pretty much the earliest picture I've got from my first digi camera.

Pentax Optio 550

Info on the actual file says it was 18th of June 2003.

Incidentally, it was taken in Spain, but the cards are from Jamaica.

I've recently inherited another couple of small compacts that I don't really know what to do with.

Plus I bought one for my daughter to go travelling, before I got the other two.

Inherited:

A Fuji Finepix Z90 - this is the one my daughter ended up taking away with her as it's very slim.

14MP 5x optical zoom.



A Nikon Coolpix 3200

This is a 3.2MP, 3x Optical camera.

Again, quite small, but not that thin.

And finally the one I actually bought for her to go travelling:

A Sony Cybershot DSC-P10

Almost everyone I know had one of these in the mid noughties. Though I have to say, I'm pleased I got my Pentax instead as when we went on holiday with another couple who had a version of this, my pictures looked way better straight out of camera.

Again, not really tried it, but because I bought it for her to go travelling I bought two new 1GB memory sticks, so I'm quite invested in it to some degree, so might carry it in my bag for a while to see if it's worth having.

Another one of those 'should have done my research' type things as I had not realised that the Sony takes memory sticks and not SD cards. Quite hard to come by and fairly pricy when you do. The two memory sticks were more than the camera.

A random collection from my 20mp Nikon point and shoot, unfortunately I seem to have lost this camera on my dog walk wanderings so am now looking for another cheap eBay point and shoot ( That will teach me to drop it into an open side pocket) The lens cover kept getting stuck anyway after one of my dog rammed it's nose into it at high speed !
