The Cave Divers Who Went Back For Their Friends

I found it this morning, too and agree completely - what a story.

Often with articles on the Web I read a fair bit of them and then decided I've got the gist of it and move on, but not with this one. I'm hoping the film of the recovery will be shown here.

What a story! I would really like to see the documentary.
 
I have read the BBC piece through twice.

In awe and dumbstruck at the same time.

So many thoughts and feelings, Brave, Stupid, Reckless, Challenged.... etc

Overall.... Humbling. I know I could not do it and I always enjoyed caving but not potholig. I have nothing but admiration for them but..... I just don't know.

I feel exactly the same way. I've visited 'show' caves and done some shallow water scuba diving, and enjoyed both, but I'm a bit claustrophobic and nothing would get me down dark, tight, passages deep under water...I have an enormous amount of respect for these guys, reckless or not.
 
just read it.. 130m down, Lot of pressure in a dry suit...

Not going to argue about it, but click on your link again and read it properly. Assume entrance to cave is 0m as per the graphic. Second accident at -135m so that is 135 metres down and quite a bit of pressure... roughly 1 atm per 10m.
