The garden has been very quiet of late, if not devoid, of all bird life especially over the last 6 weeks or more. I started to wonder if something was wrong, its as if someone had flicked a switch and they were gone,No Sparrows ,No Blackbirds, No Wrens etc etc ..Once the birds had all gone I did notice the very odd Coaltit show up occasionally on its own and the feeder hadn`t been topped up for ages ..
Fast forward til today and I noticed large numbers of birds have returned , again as if someone had flicked a switch, there were flocks of Sparrows ranging between 12 to 20 at a time , Blackbirds,Wrens and 4 or 5 Pairs of Bluetits following each other over to the feeder ( I have only 1 feeder ) also saw 3 or 4 adult Robins .. There were no Goldfinches at all and usually there`d be 3 or 4 families around .. Very strange .. Anyone else notice this happening in their area .. Im in Belfast Northern Ireland
