Yes
Perhaps the most photographed group in the history of the world. But they had cameras too. They can often be seen with them in the early days. But you can never quite make them out. Does anyone know what they used to take photos of their own? And do we know if they were good photographers?

What an interesting question.

Googling tells me they were Pentax users, there also seem to be many pictures of them using cameras.

Ringo, George and Paul all with Pentax. Can't see any ref to John yet.

A quick Google show images of all of them using Pentax, a couple with Relleiflex, and at least one with a Blad.

ive seen exhibitions of paintings by Paul and John I think, but I believe George also painted.

£4,750.00? You can get one on the evil bay for about £30.00

I really can't get my head around this celebrity nonsense - some people just have more money than sense.

Pretty mad, but still cheaper than a new Leica film camera with lens...

As I understand it, Ringo was the first to get a Pentax (there's a scene in A Hard Days Night of him out taking photos by the the Thames near Hammersmith) then the others followed his example

Possibly unrelated to this novelty drum riser for an appearance on Granada TV in November 1963 :-)

Well, here is a turn up for the books. No pun intended.

The book cover clearly shows Ringo with a Nikon F Photomic. A quick google also shows George and Paul with Nikons, and I think Linda McCartney used Nikons.

edit: But most pictures show them using Pentax, who were quick with the celebrity marketing trick later adopted by Olympus. It doesn't seem to have done either brand any long-term favours though :(

I think you're right. Even in the clip I posted John stated in an interview that he'd had all sorts.
