Wife: I want the new attic room's walls painted in grey

Me: What, Battleship grey?

Angry Wife: No, light grey. It's in fashion today.

Me: Ok.

Wife: But only the vertical bits are to be grey.

Me: (staring at all the multiple angles that I'm going to have to paint straight lines along)

Wife: Ok, I'm away out now.

Life is so good.

C'mon man, keep up!

Just buy some white (faintest grey they had dear) It'll look a bit darker until it dries. ;)

Never thought of that and her eyesight is terrible so I could probably have pulled it off!

She's right though. Grey is a thing.

My husband is yet to be convinced.

just had my living room done, wifes choice of colours, she says its a light grey ...looks blue to me.

Wife got home about 11pm just as I was finishing and came upstairs to see. She wasn't impressed when I said welcome aboard. In the dog house now.

Could have just pointed at the window, plenty of grey out there.

(Actually, today the sun is out! At least here at Kent).

A hint for the future. If you don't like the colour just say "Oh that'll be a perfect background colour for ...(insert photography you do here)"

I'm not allowed to paint. Not up to required standard apparently...

you got a bloody spy camera in my bathroom ,just in the middle of giving it a coat of light grey ,to match the border tiles i'm told ,supposed to be out today but my mate cancelled so i got up the ferkin ladder do the edges duty .not even having a bad back has got me out of it .

I had a policy....jobs always take longer when chased.... each time you get chased, add a day or two to the start time.
It took less than a year to get the message home....

I was very tempted to do this:

You're all way behind. Our front room has been grey accented green and pink since 1999.

 :$ OK then I see now, funny how you dont see everything you look at in a glance, the thing just looked odd when I looked at it, didn't make sense , It does now!

Whatever floats ya boat I suppose, imagine if you were strapped to that and your partner had a medical issue and could not set you free............That would be 50 shades of RED then. Wonder if that will be the second 50 shades book........What a world we live in
