On this day, 5 years ago. Some woman made me the happiest man alive, when she said "I do" (Or was it "Pfft...if I have to....."....lol)

Since then, we've had 5 years of wedded bliss and I couldn't be happier.
She doesn't frequent these forums (or go anywhere near my PC, despite my gentle coaxings), so she probably won't even see this thread until I show it to her...

But nevertheless....

Louise...thankyou for giving me 5 years of wedded happiness, and 11 years of your company, along with 2 beautiful (albeit expensive and noisy) children. :love:

Here's to another five years. :beer:

Why am I putting a thread up? Well it's days like this that I realise how lucky I am. There are people out there in this world with noone to snuggle up to at night, no one to count on when the chips are down. So I'm shouting from the rooftops how thankful I am for every single day I get. :thumbs:

She doesn't come on the PC herself, but I can talk about you lot like I've just come back from a jaunt down the pub, and she fully understands :thumbs: which is nice.

I say "oh such and such said this" etc, and I don't get looks of "You geek! They're not real people!"....
I think she even met a couple of you briefly at chester zoo (she's met df before I know that).

Again, thanks for the well wishes. We're not going anywhere special tonight, we're just going to sit in, watch a film with a bottle of wine and a chinese takeaway.

John, 25 years! That's a great achievement! Congratulations. I do hope that we'll be in the same position in 20 years time. I've always said I don't look at it as spending the rest of our lives together....I just look forward to growing up and growing old together.

I have no idea, I haven't done it yet. I suppose when I get round to it, it might not be as bad as they say :lol: Who knows...Don't want to find out yet.

(Just put the christmas tree up last night...real one...and I just closed my eyes, and inhaled, and I was 6 yrs old again, in the house I grew up in...it was ace).

It's great to see that you really do see that you have a great thing and you truly appreciate it. Cause your right, not everyone has that in life and if they do some are too blind to even see it when they do have it. I wish you two the best and hope you guys do grow old together. :)

Nice to know I'm not the only lucky :thumbs: one as I've had 27 years of wedded bliss & still get on with my other half (Pam) like the proverbial house on fire - In fact we have NEVER had a cross word / argument (well I didn't like to interrupt her! only kidding)
I have 2 great sons - in both attitude & size! Ian is 6'4" & built like a brick outhouse - Matt is 6'7" and built like a racing snake! 30" waist ffs!
Like my sig says "Life's been good to me so far ..."
 
Keep up the good behaviour, Marcel- you get time off if you keep your nose clean ;)

And by comparison.....

I'll have been married 10yrs next May. I dont think we've seen eye to eye (unless she stands on the first step of the stairs) ever and I doubt a week goes by that we dont have some sort of barney. Still I woudn't swap her.:love:

Thanks for the well wishes guys :) It's nice to know there's such a cracking bunch of people on here, that actually take the time to reply and congratulate...:thumbs:

In the end our neice phoned up and insisted she wanted to babysit (she loves looking after our kids), so we picked her up and then said "Right, er, where can we go?" So we got in the car with no plans. We discussed the cinema but didn't fancy it....weren't dressed for a posh meal (both had jeans on), so it was looking like Pizza Hut for a cosy pizza.....but we ended up at Frankie and Bennys, and had a lovely little meal. We're having our night in with a chinese and a bottle of wine and a film tonight :D
