Thank you to Janice and Mike (Ekimeno) who both very ably assisted with a couple of weddings this weekend, I had a blast and I hope you did as well.

So it all came right in the end for you and your 'assistants' Colin ...

:p

nice one guys..

md:thumbs:

glad it went ok for you colin..

We have a few posts from time to time asking what is a pro photographer - some say it is that you need to work 40+ hours a week or own 3 x canon /Nikon expensive cameras - I have always thought it is more to do with attitude, commitment and professionalism

Clearly the people who let you down were not professional (by this definition), but I think it is very professional to take the time to give credit when due – good post hacker

Colin, thanks for the opportunity you gave me to work with you today. The pleasure was all mine.

How many images did it end up being in total? 1000? more?

BTW folks, Colin is a proper professional - someone who is courteous, generous and takes pride in his work.

:nono:maybe the people that let Colin down had sudden.. more important things to deal with..

Well I had a fantastic day. It took the pressure off as opposed to working on my own. I was able to enjoy it and was very, very pleased with the results.

It was sunny and windy all day and I also took over 600 or so shots ........added to Colin's... he is going to be one busy boy!!!

I must also say, that if anyone asks you to assist at a wedding, if your technical skills are up to it...... go for it!

The stress is only before you get there, once you're there the adrenalin starts working its exciting.

Thanks for asking me Colin, I enjoyed the whole day.

Thanks for all the comments, it is appreciated.

Dave, I know I threw my toys out of the pram yesterday morning but I was tired and grouchy (that's my excuse anyway :D) and my rant was general and nobody was named, it was not aimed at anyone in particular so apologies for any offence caused - I realise that family comes first and that is the most important thing.

That's a very generous comment and I am sure it will be much appreciated Ekimeno ...

And for sure it is much more a definition of a 'pro' than anything else I have seen on here imhgo ... ;) ... well done Colin ...

On Sunday the timing was just right for the weather - everyone went outside for champagne and orange juice straight after the service, followed by individual and group portraits. Could have been brighter, though...
