The text layer that I create is not visible for some reason in Photoshop.
The words I am typing are showing on the layers pallette as usual but the actual text is not showing on the image.
I have made sure I am not typing white on white, checked the size of font.. and it is big enough... and made sure the text layer is not hidden and it is active.
The tiny dot on the image which denotes where the text is for when you want to drag the layer around is there and can be dragged about but with no text showing still.
I have opened a new blank white page and tried adding text to that but the same thing happens.
Any ideas?

Ok, silly question, the text tool itself, it is the text tool and not the text mask tool? [which seems to not show what ever I do] Right click over the text tool in the pallette to see.
