Hi everyone.
After some advice on what software you use to shoot tethered? Is the free Canon one the best or is there more out there I am missing out on? Whats your experiences? :)

Thanks!

The one in Lightroom works fine and given that's where I start with new photos it's a no-brainer...

It all depends on what you want. I used the Canon software for w while, until Lightroom offered the facility. The Canon has some advantages in that it can control the camera, whereas Lightroom can only download. Also the Canon software comes with the camera so is free. It works very well

Oddly enough I have never used any Canon software with my cameras, always had something else that did the job ironically.

Thanks for your thoughts people? I've read Capture One is good too.

Capture One is awesome for tethered shooting. Wipes the floor with Lightroom.

Pookeyhead could you elaborate more? What makes it so good? Will go and download the trial to have a play

@Dave450 I like the way it allows live view previewing on your computer's monitor (something LR can't do).. viewing of focus points, and more remote firing options. Working in the studio, especially with static objects and pack shots etc, is a pure joy with Capture One. Seeing my camera's live view on a 30" screen makes such work a joy.
