First roll of film through my new (to me) Leica III. Had no idea what to expect, but happily the pictures seem ok.

I need to get used to rangefinder composition as I seem to have cropped too tightly on some.

Film was Ilford XP2

Got the film developed by DS Colour and scanned in the pictures from a 6x4 print they did...can't work out how to scan negatives yet.

Looking forward to getting out with the camera again soon.

Hiya Steve - welcome.

Love the pictures.

I'm fairly new to film, so don't know very much, but I have moved from Ilford 400 film to Kodak T-max. I find it far less grainy.

To scan your own negs, get an Epson V500, or a V700 if you can afford it.

They do a great job.

Hi from me as well. Lovely shots and as Simon says an Epson V500 is the way to go. Not expensive and pays for itself after 15 to 20 films.

I've used DSCL a few times and they are ok but I'm now using Peak Imaging and they are superb.

Thanks fpr the advice...will certainly look at a better scanner for negatives.
